Thank you for supporting the work we do in the Patagonia region.
The Patagonia Mountains are part of the Madrean Pine Oak Woodlands, a global biodiversity hotspot identified by scientists as one of the top regions in the world most in need of protection for species survival. If the Patagonia region is mined, our water will be polluted, our wildlife will suffer, and our mountains will die.
When you donate to Patagonia Area Resource Alliance, you help fund:
- The monitoring of mining activities and their threats to our wildlife, water, and ecosystems,
- The education of the public on the risks and realities of industrialized hardrock mining,
- PARA’s close work with lawyers to actively oppose proposed mining operations, and
- Our partnerships with local organizations to restore and uphold the integrity of our region.
Patagonia Area Resource Alliance is committed to the water and wildlife of this region, but we can’t do it without you. Our fight is incremental, carefully planned, long term, and truly daunting—but never impossible.
